From Serial
Entrepreneur to Federal Benefits Advocate
My professional journey started in finance where I worked on wall street offering commodity contracts in the open futures market and from there got into private IPO and helping build business as so began a life as a serial entrepreneur, managing a variety of businesses that brought in income but didn’t bring much personal fulfillment. I enjoyed my time as a Superhost on Airbnb and owning a fleet of luxury cars for an exotic rental car company. However, a pivotal moment in my life made me realize I wanted more—specifically, I wanted to make a meaningful impact on others’ lives.
A New Mission:
Federal Benefits Education
This realization led me to immerse myself in understanding all aspects of federal benefits. I discovered a significant gap in knowledge among federal employees regarding their benefits. Through heartbreaking stories shared at speaking engagements within federal agency conferences, I learned that many employees were unaware of the full scope of their benefits. How could they be, when they’re offered a salary, the promise of raises, and a pension after years of service, but given little time to truly understand these benefits due to long work hours? Often, employees rely on advice from colleagues who haven’t yet retired and are unknowingly passing on misinformation. It’s akin to someone trying to describe an experience they haven’t lived through—like explaining death without having faced it.

Driven by a dedication to educate, assist, and serve as a reliable resource, I founded my nonprofit, American Benefit Advisors. Our mission is simple: we place the mission over commission. Our commitment is to ensure that federal employees can make informed, sound decisions about their retirement. To date, we have successfully helped over 3,000 federal employees retire, and our work doesn’t stop there. We continue to support them even after retirement.
Credentials and Expertise
I hold a degree in Business mgt from Georgia Tech and have undergone extensive training in finance, anti-money laundering, real estate and lending, insurance and market analysis. My expertise is backed by years of hands-on experience and a deep understanding of the complexities of federal benefits.
